Carrie Brownstein is a much better comedienne than musician. 

“Comedian” is probably fine, you wouldn’t call her a musicianne, right? Either way The Woods is objectively better than the “Put A Bird On It!” sketch and all it hath wrought. 

I knew that shit looked wrong. Anyways, it’s still uninspired sounding to me. If she were just someone who lived and played shows in Buffalo I don’t think it’d seem like anything special. Sleater-Kinney is kind of cult status, or at the very least looked at as important and I think that element adds false credibility. But I do love Portlandia, and the fact that they manage to parody hipster culture and still be clever. That seems like a very difficult balance to maintain without being irritating. Great sense of humor, mediocre music. But that’s just one man’s opinion.
